"Years ago, Tryptophan worked to send me to sleep even after chugging colas to drive across the state -- but a manufacturing error in Japan made people ill, Congress banned it (funny, compared to the adulterated everything from China that's now tolerated), and nothing's worked nearly as well as 5-HTP (the T stands for Tryptophan). I trust Carlson labs, first; second, this is a decent dose size; third, you can chew it, which is fast, it tastes nice, and it's one less pill to swallow -- important since if you swallow air when you swallow pills, you get gas discomfort, not good at bedtime."
