Aging leads to muscle weakness, less physical activity, more muscle decline, lower energy, then to obesity and metabolic disorders as CVD, hypertension, insulin resistance and others.
Studies have shown that aerobic and resistance exercise stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis and may affect aging. Physical activity levels decrease with age. Maintaining voluntary physical activities should prevent and delay age-related muscle decline and metabolic disorders usually occurring as we grow older.
