Our first NNFA convention (now called NPA) was in a lower level garage of a hotel in Washington, D.C., in 1972. If I remember correctly, there were only about 30 booths.
The second NNFA convention in 1973, which took place in San Diego, was quite a bit larger. We took 2 booths! More space was needed as we brought the new baby, Kirsten, who needed a crib.
I don't recall which attracted more attention - the infant or the vitamins. We may have had more offers for the kid than our vitamins, but we thrived and soon the baby was selling the vitamins.
I was a lot younger then - note the red hair and mustache! Kirsten was only 4 months old.
We have attended all of the NPA conventions since. Now the vitamins sell better, especially when the kids sell them.
